word: Intervention
The course of action called “intervention” is a deliberate process by which change is introduced into peoples' thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The overall objective of an intervention is to lovingly confront an individual in a non-threatening way and allow them to see their self-destructive behavior and how it affects themselves, family and friends. It usually involves several people who have prepared themselves to discuss with the person who has been engaging in some sort of self-destructive behavior such as chemical dependency what they have observed. In a clear and respectful way, the participants inform the individual about factual information regarding his or her behavior and how it may have affected them. The immediate objective of an intervention is for the self-destructive person to listen and to accept help.

Without any doubt I am certain that intervention, treatment and recovery work! I would find it impossible to do interventions if I didn't observe positive changes and results in the families with whom I work. My dedication to the family and their loved one is beyond measure, I truly love the work I do and experience great joy in doing it. I believe in the process of intervention. Taking the necessary time to educate and prepare each faily is essential to the success of the intervention. Being with the family through the entire process helps ease their fears, anxiety and frustrations.

Philosophy:

Addiction is a brain disease with psychological, social, and behavioral, biomedical and spiritual components. It impacts everyone who cares about or loves and individual with the disease of addiction. The extent of the impact varies by family and situation. At minimum, those with a relationship with the addicted individual will have feelings of despair, anger and hopelessness. They feel as if “there is nothing I can do.”

In reality, intervention is themost loving act anyone can provide for an addicted individual. If you don't act, the disease can easily take the individual into insanity and eventurally death.
Services:
Preparation is accomplished through a series of meetings face-to-face or by telephone where the interventionist provides support and education for participants. Each Individual will prepare written information to present at the intervention and a rehearsal will be held to practice just prior to the intervention.
We follow-up with you and the patient and participants while the individual is in treatment and as needed after discharge. Ongoing support following completion of treatment is available. We work on your schedule and accommodate your needs to whatever extent possible.
